Cream, not cleaner
Looking for the basic 'essential' cleaner and only this 'cream' is offered. It's more like a makeup remover and leaves a film on your skin (even when rinsed off). I've been using Shiseido for nearly 20 years (first the 'Skincare' line, and then 'Ibuki' when they got rid of 'Skincare'. Now they've gotten rid of Ibuki and gone to 'essentials'.) Essentials is disappointing they 1) seem to have gotten rid of a basic simple cleaner and 2) the product offered in it's place feels gross.

New Formula
This did not remove my face makeup entirely. I had to repeat several times. The formula is very runny in consistency and it left a greasy feeling on my skin. I had to follow with a foaming cleanser to remove that grease. I much prefer the older version of the Gentle Cleansing Cream which was very thick and effectively removed my makeup in one step. Also, there was no greasy residue left behind. I am disappointed in this product.

This product is great for an everyday cleanser! It is so gentle, and removes impurities within the skin! It removes makeup immediately, and I love using it with my facial ckeansing machine! It is great for youthful and mature skin, and is very affordable! Highly recommend for anyone looking for an everyday cleanser that will leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated, rather than feeling tight and stripped of essential oils!! Leaves skin soft and refreshed
This is a bit different than the product I intended to buy (the one I wanted to buy had a more milky color), but I think it feels the same. It's great for makeup removal (like my 18-hour lip gloss). At first it felt greasy and like it wouldn't wash off my face, but then I realized that's the moisturizing part and left my skin feeling soft at the end. It's a bit more drying than Cetaphil or CeraVe.

Gentle and Non Irritating
I was expecting this to foam up but its more like applying a gel cream to your face. Even after rinsing I feel like I have a layer if moisturizer on my skin. This isnt for you if you prefer that squeaky clean feeling. Its lightly scented but doesnt irritate my skin. Ill continue to use it to see how this performs long term.

foamy, light scent, efficient
it delivers clean skin without overstripping the natural oils. It has been is my 'go to' for many years. because of its foamy-ness, I always use it with a wash cloth for thorough rinsing. If you want a more aggressive cleanse, a cleansing sponge paired with this works really well.
